Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Trichonaut ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with this website, trichonaut.us. We're a hobbyist grower selling extras from our own collection, not a nursery business, and we've tried to keep this policy as straightforward as the rest of the site.

Information we collect

This site does not require you to create an account. We only receive personal information when you choose to contact us to place an order — typically your name, shipping address, and payment method (PayPal, Venmo, or Cashapp), sent to us directly by email.

We use Google Analytics to understand general site traffic, such as which pages are visited and how people find the site. This collects usage data (like pages viewed, approximate location, and device/browser type) via cookies, but not your name, address, or payment details. See "Analytics" below for more.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to help us understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, approximate location, and device/browser type. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

This data is collected by us, but we do not sell it. Google processes it on our behalf subject to its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using tools like the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us solely to fulfill your order — confirming availability, arranging payment, and shipping your plant — and to respond to any questions you send us.

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your information — order details or analytics data — to anyone. We share order information only as necessary to complete your order: for example, providing your shipping address to USPS or UPS, or using your chosen payment method (Venmo/Cashapp) to receive payment. Analytics data is shared only with Google, as described above.

Data retention

We keep order information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill your order and to maintain basic sales records.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
